Meet the Team

At ZeiSei (pronounced "zay-say"), our team of CPAs brings over two decades of combined experience (rooted in Big Four training at Deloitte), focused on helping U.S. tech professionals and expatriates manage complex IRS regulations. We specialize in tax planning and compliance for equity compensation such as RSUs, ISOs, and ESPPs, as well as foreign income reporting, FBAR, and cross-border tax issues. Our firm has successfully guided thousands of employees through the tax implications of stock options and global compensation structures.

Above all, we are driven by a genuine passion for tax and, more importantly, a desire to help others. We’ve seen firsthand the impact that sound tax advice can have, especially when it comes to IRS audits, where our team has deep experience helping clients navigate these challenging situations. We’re here to offer guidance, support, and peace of mind.

Why "ZeiSei"?

The name ZeiSei carries a story that reflects who we are—both personally and professionally. In Japanese, "zei" (税) means "tax," and in Korean, "sei" (세) also means "tax." Our name is a blend of these two languages and cultures, representing our backgrounds: one of us is half Japanese, the other half Korean. Though we are both native to Washington State, our identities are rooted in a blend of cultures, perspectives, and lived experiences.

This dual heritage has shaped how we view the world—and how we approach our work. We understand what it means to navigate multiple identities at once. Whether our clients are individuals with international tax concerns, small businesses with diverse teams, or simply people with complex stories, we bring empathy, cultural awareness, and deep care to every relationship.

At Zeisei, we believe tax services should be both precise and personal. Our name is a symbol of the thoughtful, inclusive, and globally informed perspective we bring to every client we serve.
